We have had some visitors for the past week and a half:
I thought that this would be an interesting venture for the girls. It has turned out to be a really fascinating experience for the whole family.
These caterpillars eat and eat and eat.
It's really like The Very Hungry Caterpillar. They are much bigger at the end of the day than they were at the beginning. We've been watching them change almost hour by hour.
Yesterday the girls noticed this:
We now have three chrysalises. They are supposed to remain like this for the next seven to ten days. How exciting! Hopefully, we will soon have five painted lady butterflies. The girls have already given them all names.
